I found another place to make a free website yesterday. The site is bravenet, they have been around forever. I remember using some of there tools at least 10 years ago. There are a couple of ways to put up a site with them, a regular website, or a blog. I chose to put up a blog.

After signing up your username is the name of the blog, username.braveblog.com. You have the option for a secondary name, I chose that option to match what my blog was about. You also have several options for the location of the blog I chose braveblog.com. I can't remember the other options right now.

Once your name is set up you can choose from several templates for your site design. Posting is like any other blog, there is a text editor and you can edit the post later if desired. Apart from the templates I did not find any way to personalize the site more. It would be nice to be able to put your own header up.

For the most part Bravenet looks like another good way to make a free website.
